This is in regards to Kroger’s new yellow bags. Week 1 of new bags handles tore off grocery’s all over the floor.

Week 2 bottom seem tore open pickle jar broke all over driveway. Week 3 seems tore open again after asking them to double bag the heavy items. Vinegar bottle broke glass all over kitchen and all over my new shoes. (Now ruined) I called the store to let them know about my last three Kroger shopping experiences with their new bags.

I was told that they have had several complaints about the new bags but there was nothing they could do about the lost grocery’s or may shoes! They suggested I call the corporate office. After several calls getting nothing but a voice message to call back later they were experiencing heavy call volume on their complaint line! I reached an operator.

I expanded to him about my last three shopping experiences at Kroger and let him know I have been a customer for well over 20 years and spend between $350-400 every week at their stores. I was rudely told there was nothing they could do for me. I let him know that I didn’t feel this was wright and maybe I should change stores. I received a very rude reply to have a good day and was hung up on.

This is the thanks you receive from Kroger for being a very long time customer. I will never set foot into a Kroger store again.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $100.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Terrible customer relations.

I will no longer be shopping at Kroger. I will definitely be switching to publix. Kroger have been remodeling their stores and they look discussing, from the horrible brown floors to the dull lighting in the stores it is definitely a mess .and not to mention they are trying to get rid of the name brand products and bring In Kroger products i might as well be shopping at a food depot or an value save store its horrendous and tacky......


Yes, I do NOT like those yellow bags! Cheaply made & look like i just bought out the Dollar General Store!


Use there paper bags


my yellow bags ripped also, it has however made me take the reusable bags more consistentlyand really, we have to stop using plastic anyway


Use reusable bags.


Kroger Corporate Headquarters came up with this idea.The store level has No control over What Corporate chooses to do.If you Really want to be heard, send Corporate Headquarters a letter.That information is found on their website.

I am sorry. The coporate headquarters is who I talked to.

They were the ones that were very rude and offered no soultation to the problem.

The people at the store level were very nice. This is why I have such a problem with Kroger.

What exactly do you expect from the store? You purchased goods and left, there is no way to prove that the bags breaking caused the damage or in fact that the bags busted out at all.Heavy item in the bag i.e.

Pickle jar? why not just double bag it. I've had my heavy items double bagged for years, even with the older brown bags.That being said, invest in heavy duty reusable bags. They are resilient and don't break, and they have the added benefit of not contributing to the continuing escalation of the world wide plastic pollution epidemic.

You sound like the type of customer who expects things to just be handed to them out of an inconvenience. Grow up, go to a different store if you want, but just a heads up, they all basically use the same bags and you're going to continue to have the same problems in the future.
