Unfortunately I requested cash back and in a rush to get to work this morning I completely forgot to get it and did not realize it until I got to work. I called and after being placed on hold for more than 5 minutes, I was transferred twice.

Finally a lady told me she would check in to it and call me back. Well that was around 8:30 a.m. I finally called back around lunch time and she said the computers had just come back up and to give her 5 minutes. She called back and left a message stating the next customer got the money.

Of course it is my fault that I left the money but thank goodness it was not a bank roll and did not set me back at all. I just wonder why the self check out doesn't bug you when you get cash back the way it continues to repeat itself when it tells you "please take all your bags". You can barely finish grabbing your items before the machine starts talking.....just a thought.

Lesson learned and I just know that $40 won't make the dishonest person rich unless they spend all day waiting for customers to leave money. Good luck to you!!!!

But you Did receive assistance from a Kroger employee. The Kroger employee Did tell you that she would check into it and call you back.

She Did call you back.

You did not like the answer she gave you, which is understandable, but she Did provide assistance.

But since you left the money at self checkout, someone else took it. So you should be mad at yourself as well as at the person who took your money. As for the self checkout machines, management above store management decides which hardware and software to buy.

So the best thing to do is to send a letter to the regional office for this particular location. That information is located on the back of the Kroger card which is the size of a debit card as well as one their website.
