Kroger - Cash Back
I like to go through line to an actual cashier not U-Scan unless they're super busy & U-Scan is the only thing with no line. I went to Kroger yesterday & accidentally forgot my cash back.
I called & they said the next person took it. I asked if they used a credit/debit card and/or Kroger plus card to make their purchase. They told me they couldn't give out that information. I asked to talk to security & they said they saw the next person take it but they couldn't do anything about it or give out any information.
I'm hoping I can resolve this by contacting the police but when I told them that they said they won't do anything about it. I hate how nobody is honest anymore. It was part of my rent money. It ruined my day & it's hard not to dwell on it.
I will be shopping more at Wal-Mart & Meijer I think from now on. I realize it was my mistake but people are heartless now.
Monetary Loss: $60.

I lost $100 out of my pocket at Wal-Mart because my cash was in my pocket with my phone and I took my phone out and the money fell out. Someone else found it.
I don't think I'm going to shop at Wal-Mart anymore, because it's their fault. *lol*
Next customer took it?? So when i forget my car keys at the cash register at Kroger (this happens all the time to me), the next customer may take my car as well? I think you should prosecute the store for cooperation in stealing.
OMFG, Youforgot your money and its KROGERS fault?...get a grip ok, like it wont happen in Wal Mart or Meijers?...jesus
People may very well be heartless these days but if you think that in the fifties or nineteen twenties America that a lot of people wouldn't have walked away with unattended cash then you are fooling yourself.
If you drive up to an ATM at a bank, put in your Debit Card, request cash from your account, and drive off wihtout taking it, do you expect the bank to give you that money later? If not, how is this situation any different?
but Kroger employees saw it, so they did cooperate in stealing.
when you leave cash and someone takes it it is NOT stealing... In fact even if you turned around and went back and someone had already pocketed it, by law, they can keep it bc they FOUND it.
Its 100% your fault you left it...not krogers, security, ect... Morally it isnt right but legally it is.
The bottom line is it just doesn't have anything to do with Kroger & Kroger can't do much about it. 9 times out of 10 cash belongs to whomever is holding it.
Its unfortunate but it happens and what you'll learn from it is to pay more attention when hard earned money is involved - hopefully. :cry
Quit yacking on your cell-phone and pay attention!!! It's YOUR FAULT..don't blame the store.
How is shopping elsewhere going to stop the fact that YOU aren't focused on your mission????? :x :x :x
I wasn't on the phone ***
