I placed and order for pick up with Kroger and I did not receive my order. I sat in the parking lot for 2 hours l, when I finally asked I was told my order was cancelled this was are 915 p.m Sunday night April 5th. The young man said the store was closed no more orders were being filled. My order was placed at 1230 Sunday morning. My order number is 120096****41239****. I also have a total of 4 holds on my account from your cooperation but I have no groceries from Kroger. This I do not understand. In all my years of shopping at Kroger this had been one of the worse experiences I have encountered. I am not a happy customer right now.

Never get the order right

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been given expired products one too many times from Kroger. I put on the directions to please check the expiration dates and still am given expired to almost (within 3 days time) expired. I went in to check the last time this happened to me and there was plenty of milk on the shelf with expiration dates over a week later than what I was given. At first I thought the people making up the orders just don't care or don't read the directions. Now that this has happened multiple times I'm beginning to think that perhaps management is telling them to stick the pick up customers with the expired products. I've called the store, talked to the pick up service manager and asked for the problem to be addressed but all it got me was fuel points. I'd rather have unexpired milk.

What have you done with your normal products? Some of the kroger brands that my family have always depended on have changed to a poor substitute. The Kroger margarine (80% veg. oil) is now 53% veg oil and it's nasty. Another product is Kroger can roast beef, you don't have anymore. Also the digital coupons is hardly worth saving. We are on disability social security so my budget is limited and your prices have skyrocketed. I'm not happy about it but I'm forced to look elsewhere for affordable groceries.

Delivery problems

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am older and high risk, so I have groceries delivered. I placed and order with a 12-1:00 next day delivery reservation.

I got a call that it would be 2:00. Fine. 3:30 and no delivery, no communication. I called, first it takes several minutes to get to delivery, and CS will not give direct number so I don't have to go through multiple steps.

I had to made 5 calls to delivery. Two were disconnected. First I was told the order was ready and waiting for pick up (three calls said this), but they could not given me a delivery time. The order is coming from a Pearland store, 30 minutes or more from me when I have a large Kroger less than a mile away (KIrby and Main).

I asked for the number of the shipper, and was given a number that had been disconnected. I called back and was given the right number. The shipper said they had no time for my delivery since NO DRIVER wants this job. (Why would they accept a less than 10.00 fee for a one hour round trip?) So it seems my order would NEVER be delivered, but no one had communicated to me and Kroger, which had the power to change the origin store, did not do so.

When I relayed this (5th call to Kroger delivery) they told me that in fact my order was NOT ready for pick up. I cancelled the order. I will never use Kroger again for this. I would think that months of practice at this sort of service would have given Kroger time to perfect it.

I have not had this issue with Randalls or HEB.

Why is Kroger assigning this to stores so far from the delivery when there are big, well stocked stores close by? I am sharing my experience on line to warn others.

Om Saturday, August 22nd I picked up an order. My order was incomplete. I received a text about missing items 7 minutes AFTER I picked up my order and was on my way home. Had I known they didn't' include everything on my list, I was there, I could have come into the store. A text after the fact serves no purpose but I am more pissed that nobody responded to my despite my again emailing them a few days later about the situation.

Mask-Free Shopping Hours

Dear Kroger, As much as I love shopping at Kroger, I've been taking my business elsewhere because of your requirement to wear masks in your store. I know you will be surprised by the amount of returning customers if you implement the below. Your business has the chance to be a LEADER in the retail industry by offering this: "Special shopping hours for those without a mask." At the beginning of this situation, many retailers had special shopping hours for seniors and disabled. Its time for you to PROVIDE THIS RIGHT AWAY: SPECIAL SHOPPING HOURS FOR THOSE WITHOUT A MASK Curbside shopping or instacart delivery is not fair and equal access, because there is an additional cost, and shoppers cannot browse and look for new items and experience an enjoyable shopping experience. Further, this discriminates against those who do not have access to technology. Offering SPECIAL SHOPPING HOURS for those who cannot wear a mask creates REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS (as required by federal, state and local laws). *NOTE: These hours are to be reserved for mask-free shoppers ONLY, so the shopping experience will be relaxing and enjoyable. Those who wear a mask are to shop during the mask hours.* BENEFITS for YOUR BUSINESS: YOU will be recognized as a powerful community leader in creating a fair, just and equitable shopping experience for all your patrons in this way: 1. Shoppers who cant wear a mask can shop in comfort and confidence free of discrimination, harassment and intimidation (which violate federal and state civil rights laws) 2. Associates will not need to spend time checking to see if shoppers need to wear a mask 3. Further, ASSOCIATES who cannot wear a mask could be assigned to work those hours. 4. This demonstrates YOUR commitment to your ETHICS and COMPLIANCE for NON-DISCRIMINATION policies. 5. Your business can avoid costly and embarrassing discrimination lawsuits I look forward to an enjoyable mask-free shopping experience! Sincerely, Janice Flonta

Just bad customer service.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Me and my husband went to the Kroger Pharmacy in Brandenburg KY, for the third time in two weeks because we were called and told that our medicines were ready, they were not. First time a line of 22 people, we left because we couldn't stand in line that long,

Second time drive-thru, we were 6 cars back, after 45 mins.

the #1 car was still there. We left. We got another call saying our meds. were ready.

I called Kroger pharmacy for over an hour, no answer. We decided to go anyway because i had run out of my meds, and needed them. Not ready. I complained and got a mean, nasty hateful responds.

I was told if i had a complaint see management and i did. We were told to come back in about 3 hours.

We live 20 miles away, we 'r 79 years old and have to go thru this. Talk about bad customer service.

Drive further next time. You should also probably expect that the employees will treat you similarily to the way they get treated most of the time. Don't ever give Kroger another penny

Original review Aug 03, 2020
Living in corporate area and forced to visit more than a dozen locations, I 'm appalled how customers are talked to and the avoidance and no transparency. It was bad enough before Covid, now impossible. In last few months no matter how many times I call, hang on phone, fill out complaints, leave my phone # for callback, ABSOLUTELY nothing is accomplished! My largest gripe beyond price gouging, pushing name brand, days wasted, expired food, reduction in sizes, allowing holding, expired tags, etc. is; their App, poor customer service, incorrect over charges and constantly having to prove I have valid coupons. It's exhausting and instead of repeating my concern or showing that they're listening they try to put me on the defensive. I've visited and lived in other states where there's more competition and the worst stores are in their,(Kroger's) backyard. Consumer advocate media won't touch because of advertising dollar$. Time is money!

Pharmacy rudeness

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I went to the pharmacy the tech. Kelly at Harpers point was rude and nasty. This is not the first time. I am at high risk for covid and I went to the drive thru she said that I would have to come in because one prescription would not fit in the tube. I told her I was high risk she was rude and nasty when I asked if someone could bring it outside to my car. After a few minutes she said I will only do this one time nastily. I thought they would gladly do this as I also have curbside pickup for groceries. I later asked a manager who said they should have walked out. Today 6 months later I observed a. Pharmacy tech delivering outside to a car

You obviously are unwilling to surrender and obey the powers-that-be. What are you---a free American, or some other liberty-loving citizen? All masks should have the word "obey" written on them in bold letters for those who throw common sense to the wind.

False Info at Kroger.com site

False Info at Kroger.com site
Updated by user Mar 17, 2020

kroger.com permanently shows "Russellville, AR" as the default store site for product inventory and pricing. Only if you sign-in, meaning open an account you may not need or want, OR only if you never clear your cache /browser history will you see your correct store...

Updated by user Feb 15, 2020

Bait and Switch tactic

Original review Feb 15, 2020
Re: Kroger.com site: Maybe you like to browse your local Kroger store prices or inventory, but you have never input all your personal data to Kroger.com in order to setup an online account. Or, you do have an account but you prefer regularly clearing your browser's cache and NOT logging into your account for simple product pricing and inventory.
If one or the other is true, then since around January 28, 2020, you are no longer seeing accurate inventory or pricing info for your own local store.

Kroger.com now opens to a default page claiming "Russellville" (Arkansas, pop. approx 30k) as your "Pickup" store. If you download a preview or weekly ad at that point, you will get the circular for R-ville. Also, anything typed into the product search form will return results only pertinent to that Arkansas store no matter where you actually live and shop.
Moreover, even if you input your own zip code to change store and pull up your local store ad, the "pickup" store will remain as Russellville and still anything typed into the site's product search form will return results only true for that Arkansas location!

We have discovered there can be significant differences between our store flyer prices and what shows up from doing an online search now. Also you can get false results saying an item is "not found" and vice versa when it's not actually the case for your local store.
We have informed Kroger's design team and marketing execs about this new design change for 2020. They have expressed zero interest in returning Kroger.com to displaying a user's true Geo-location like it always had in the past. Their clear intent is forcing every shopper to open an online account, whether they need it or not, and then forcing all users to always be logged into it in order to see accurate data for their local shopping.

It's not just a case of gathering all that initial personal info from consumers (with always a likelihood it can be hacked and stolen), but also they want to have a Big Brother eyeball on every user keystroke, something they can't currently do if you're browsing the site while not logged in.
And remember, to browse at other large retailers -- Amazon.com, Walmart.com or Meijer.com, for e.g. -- you are not required to login to any account you've set up to view accurate local info, because they still display your true Geo-location, which is picked up automatically from your laptop or other device.

Until Kroger.com returns to showing our local store information, we are taking more of our shopping dollars to Aldi's and Meijer stores. Let them know how user UNfriendly, coercive and cumbersome this new policy is for consumers, and maybe they'll revert to doing the right thing by us.
